On Sunday, August 2, members of the Vermillion Rotary Club, members of the local community, friends and family converged on the DakotaDome for the great Rotary Duck Shoot. The fundraiser was a modification of last year's Great Duck Race at the Prentis Plunge, since the water park was not available this year. The real winner was the Patriots Plaza that is currently under construction on the USD campus. That project receives the the funds from the fundraiser, which when combined with the matching grant from Rotary District 5610 makes Rotary one of the largest donors to the project.
