The Vermillion Rotary Club was fortunate to have a past District 5610 Rotary Exchange student, Jamie McKinney (Right), present about her experiences and how those experiences have impacted her time in college.  Ms. McKinney was a Rotary exchange student to Belgium in 2010-11.   She is the current, Miss SDSU, and will compete in the Miss SD scholarship pageant in June.  Her experiences in Belgium were the foundation for her pageant platform encouraging study abroad.  We were also fortunate enough to have our first chance to meet Rylee Black (Left), one of the District’s outgoing exchange students.  Ms. Black just completed her sophomore year at Menno, SD High School.  She will be traveling to Romania in Late July or early August.  Since there is no Rotary club in Menno, the Vermillion Club will be sponsoring her.  Those two young women are excellent examples of why the student exchange program is a great aspect of Rotary.  Image
