Joni Livingston, VP of communications and member services at Missouri River Energy Services (MRES), provides a fascinating look at the realities of public power. MRES is a not-for-profit energy cooperative (Joint Action Agency) with 61 members in four states that provides power supply and energy services. Livingston discusses the operations of MRES, but also compares their organization or national statistics to the city of Vermillion. Vermillion's power uses a higher percentage from renewable sources.
