On Friday, March 4, first-grade students at Austin Elementary were treated to green eggs and ham as a tribute to Dr. Suess. According to an article in the Equalizer, "Friday's event, sponsored by the Vermillion Public Schools Foundation, culminated a week-long focus on Dr. Seuss in first-grade classrooms in Vermillion." The Vermillion Rotary Club provided some financial support for the event and Rotarians, including Jim Peterson and Susan Tuve, helped to make it a reality.
